The BK 350 (the letters stand for Boxer Kardan with 350 cc displacement) was a motorcycle model of the VEB Motorradwerke Zschopau (MZ), which was produced from 1952 to 1959; initially under the name "IFA BK 350". The BK 350 was presented to the public at the Leipzig Trade Fair in 1951 as a DKW twin-cylinder engine.

25.814 km. KW (HP) ccm: 15 (11)343 ccm. General Information: The BK 350 is in a nice condition. The engine was overhauled. A few years ago, the machine was restored. We have the original motor vehicle registration of the German Democratic Republic. Furthermore, we have an original operating manual for the IFA motorcycle BK 350 edition 1954.

I believe that the same conditions will apply when looking at the value invested in a 350c vs. a BK-7m. My impression is that the BK has all and MORE of the sounds, quality of sounds, styles, etc. than any Atelier, especially that combo model which would fall closer to the bottom than the top of the Atelier line.

The flight model of both of then is quite good, but the BK-117 is IMHO much easier to handle (since it is heavier). The AS350 is in fact for autorotations better but it can be quite tricky to control it. The AS 350 has more features and modes but I must admit I prefer the BK-117.
